Notice of Public Rights

Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) 2025/26

Kilmington Parish Council hereby gives notice that the Annual Governance & Accountability Return (AGAR) for the financial year ending 31 March 2026 has been prepared and published.

The Council has confirmed its status as an exempt authority, meaning it is not subject to a routine external audit unless a valid objection is raised.


๐Ÿ” Your Rights

During the period stated below, any interested person has the legal right to:

  • Inspect the councilโ€™s accounting records
  • View supporting documents (including invoices, receipts, contracts, and vouchers)
  • Request copies of these documents
  • Ask questions about the accounts
  • Raise objections with the external auditor

๐Ÿ“… Inspection Period

The accounts and associated documents will be available for inspection for 30 working days:

  • Start date: Wednesday 3 June 2026
  • End date: Tuesday 14 July 2026

These dates meet statutory requirements, including covering the first 10 working days of July.
