The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust has been helping older and vulnerable people across Wiltshire and Swindon stay safe and secure in their homes since 1998. The charity provides practical home security improvements, crime prevention advice and online safety support, all free of charge to eligible residents.
Their services are available to people aged 60 and over, adults with a registered disability, and those experiencing domestic abuse. The Trust’s specially equipped Bobby Vans travel across the county, providing reassurance and practical security measures to help residents feel safer in their own homes.
In addition to home security support, the Trust offers advice on staying safe online, helping people recognise scams, protect personal information and avoid becoming victims of fraud. Their volunteers can provide one-to-one guidance as well as community talks.
As scams and cybercrime become increasingly sophisticated, the Trust regularly publishes updates and advice to help residents stay informed about emerging threats and common fraud tactics.
